Privacy Policy

HeyThere is an AI-powered networking coach for job seekers, available at heythere.tech and as the HeyThere iOS app. HeyThere is operated by Peak Product Group LLC, an Oregon limited liability company (“we”, “us”). This policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

• Account information. When you sign up with Google or Apple, we receive your name, email address, and a unique user ID from the identity provider.
• Profile information you provide. During onboarding and in settings, you may share your LinkedIn URL, resume, work history, education, skills, and career targets. This data is used to generate personalized recommendations and outreach drafts.
• Email access (optional). If you connect your email account via Nylas, HeyThere reads and sends messages on your behalf only for the purpose of drafting outreach, detecting replies, and tracking follow-ups. We do not read messages unrelated to HeyThere-initiated threads. You can disconnect at any time from Settings, which revokes our access.
• Push notification tokens. If you grant notification permission on iOS, we store your Expo push token to deliver alerts about new recommendations, follow-ups, and responses.
• Usage data. We record your interactions within the app (contacts acted-on or skipped, pipeline state, session completion) to power the product and improve recommendation quality. We use PostHog for product analytics.

How we use your information

• To generate daily contact recommendations and personalized outreach drafts.
• To track the state of your pipeline and surface replies and follow-ups.
• To send transactional push notifications you’ve opted into.
• To operate, secure, and improve the service.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your information for third-party advertising.

Service providers

We rely on the following processors to operate HeyThere. Each receives only the data needed for its function:

• Supabase — authentication and database hosting.
• Anthropic (Claude API) — AI generation of recommendations and outreach content. We send the minimum profile and context needed; we do not train models on your data.
• Nylas — email API for Gmail integration (send and reply detection).
• Exa Search and Hunter.io — contact discovery from public professional data.
• Apify — enrichment of company and contact data.
• Expo — push notification delivery.
• Stripe — payment processing (if you subscribe).
• Vercel — application hosting.
• PostHog — product analytics.

Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we permanently remove your profile, pipeline, email grants, push tokens, and associated records within 30 days, and we revoke any third-party access (such as Nylas email grants) at the time of deletion.

Your rights and choices

• Access and edit. You can view and edit your profile in the Settings screen of the mobile app.
• Disconnect email. Revoke our email access at any time from Settings.
• Notifications. You can disable push notifications in your device settings.
• Delete your account. Use the “Delete account” option in Settings to permanently delete your data. This action is irreversible.
• Data requests. Email chris@peakproductgroup.com to request a copy of your data or to ask questions about this policy.

Security

We use industry-standard safeguards: TLS in transit, encryption at rest in Supabase, and iOS Keychain (via expo-secure-store) for on-device session tokens. No system is perfectly secure; we encourage you to use a strong password and enable 2FA on your Google or Apple account.

Children

HeyThere is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email. Continued use of HeyThere after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
